YCMHS Travel Club

NOTE: If you would like
to donate to or sponsor the YCMHS Travel Club, please contact Sarah Fiander,
Travel Club Advisor, at 902-749-2810. If you are a Tri-County student in grades 10-12 and are
interested in going on the March Break 2008 trip, feel free to contact Mrs.
Fiander as well.
In March 2008 the Yarmouth Consolidated Memorial
High School (YCMHS) Travel Club will be off on its third adventure. For March
Break 2008, approximately 20 students will be traveling to Italy and Spain to
see the wonders of these two countries.

The students will be arriving in Rome to spend two
days there exploring the ruins of Pompeii; visiting Vatican City to marvel at
the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica; exploring the Colosseum and the
Forum Romanum; and following a tradition of tossing a coin into the Trevi
Fountain to ensure a future visit.
Traveling via Assisi to Florence, the students will
explore this beautiful city and visit the Duomo and spend free time in the
shops. After exploring the city of Genoa, an overnight ferry will take the
students across the Mediterranean Sea to Spain where they will spend a few days
in Barcelona and then travel by high-speed train to Madrid.

full trip information.
Please note:
This will be a 12 day tour. The website shows 11, however we will be inserting
an extra day (after Day 1) to spend at Pompeii. This is not shown on the website
but arrangements have been made for the extra day.
