New Playground Equipment at
Plymouth

Argyle Municipal Councilor, Junior Murphy,
cutting the ribbon
The younger students at Plymouth
school had an extra reason to be excited about the first day of school. In
addition to being reunited with their classmates after the summer break, a
ribbon cutting ceremony was held to celebrate a new piece of playground
equipment.

Board Vice Chair, Ron Hines
Fundraising for the equipment has
been ongoing for the past six years and has included events such as spring
flings and fun nights. The Parent Teacher Association also received funds
from the Municipality of Argyle, Nova Scotia Sport & Recreation, and the
Tri-County Regional School Board.

Now that the new equipment has
been purchased for the younger students, the focus will now shift to fundraising
for playground equipment for the school's older students. Plymouth
school's Parent Teacher Association President, Andrea Leblanc, looks forward to
more spring flings and is optimistic that they will receive more grants.
