Distance Ed > Registration
The
following is the online registration procedure for the
Tri-County Regional School Board's Distance Education
courses, and those courses offered through the Province:
Step One
Make sure
your course is not available at your school or is in a
timetable conflict, in any case you MUST see your school
Guidance person before registering. These are the only
two reasons we will accept registration for distance
education.
Step Two
Ask your
Guidance counsellor for a form, which you both will fill out
and then Send this in an email to Barry Heffernan.
The form
will:
-
Indicate what course you wish to take - there are class
size limits and it is NOT necessarily first come, first
served. We will be trying to provide service for those
most needing the courses first, then looking at people
who are trying to fill in timetables, etc.
-
Indicate which school you are attending, and what Grade
you are in.
-
List
all other courses you will be taking, and include your
timetable (i.e. Period One, Day One I will be
taking...). Include in this information in which time
slot you will be taking the Distance Course (you may
only take ONE per semester) you are trying to register
for.
Step Three
You should
receive an e-mail contact within a few days from the
Coordinator indicating your acceptance or refusal. You will
be informed how to access the course, where you will be
taking the course in your school and who your "contact"
teacher at your school will be for this course, by the
school guidance counsellor.
No
student should assume they are registered without permission

Heffernan
